I dont want to file itemized deductions because I dont think I will get as much back,I need as much of a financial break as I can get on taxes, dont we all, and I just had my son December of 2006. Other than earned income tax credit and the child tax credit are ther any others I can get?

There is a tax credit this year, if you had bundled phone service 5 years ago or so, but NO you can%26#039;t deduct your phone/long distance.

Nope, unfortunately, you%26#039;ve pretty much covered it. You don%26#039;t want to forget the telephone excise tax credit for this year though.

Go to HandRblock.com. They do it for way cheap. They ask you questions, you answer and then you file it there. I did mine for 19 bucks on handrblock. I think that there are cheaper places to go. I would use a online service for your taxes or go to a tax advisor. It%26#039;s safer that way. I would hate for you to miss out on stuff.

For the first time, you can deduct your phone. (long distance, etc).

Buy turbo tax, $20 its great they walk you thru everything. You dont need to itemize to get a good tax check back.. V.I.P. Make sure that you are filing single, zero at your job that will make a big differance. they take the most out of your check and you get a nice amount back at the end of the year.

i just got my taxes done by h%26amp;r block and i to just had a baby in november the only taxe cridets that i got were earned income head of house hold and the child tax credit and the phone credit also i thought oh ya ill get like 5,000 or more yeah right i only got 1,ooo for the child and 40 for the phone and h%26amp;r blcok charged me about 205.00 to do my taxes
