EIC on tax return?

We just had a child in August will we get EIC on our tax return if our income for the year qualifies? Do we get any extra credtis for having a child other than the child tax credit. How much could our EIC potentially be?

EIC on tax return?

It%26#039;s possible. You must have earned income and your AGI must be less than:

$36,348 ($38,348 married filing jointly) with two or more qualifying children;

$32,001 ($34,001 married filing jointly) with one qualifying child; $12,120 ($14,120 married filing jointly) with no qualifying children.

The maximum EIC credit is:

$4,536 with two or more qualifying children;

$2,747 with one qualifying child;

$412 with no qualifying children.

The EIC is based on your earned income. Since you didn%26#039;t disclose that information, you%26#039;ll need to refer to the IRS website or your 1040 tax booklet.

You might also be eligible for the Additional Child Tax Credit.
