My daughter was born on 16/12/07 and we%26#039;ve only just received her birth certificate. I have my child benefit forms all filled out and wil post them today. But will they back date the payments to her date of birth?

hi, yes they do pay from babys%26#039; birth date, but double check, cos my friend had to chase hers, but they will sort payments out asap, but make sure its the right amount, my friend was short by a few weeks, but once chased, sorted very quickly, hope this helps.. good luck

they backdate 3 months, sometimes in exceptional circumstances they backdate longer, say if the baby was premature and in hospital for a long time and the parents had no time to claim.......but in the main it%26#039;s 2 weeks
