Can my boyf claim Working Tax Credits for my child from a previous relationship?
If you are living together as a couple and the child is living with you then I think you have to make a joint claim anyway. If you are living alone then it has to be a single (ie just you) claim. If in any doubt call the Tax Credits Helpline though.

Child tax credit you get and depending on how much he makes from his job yes, for defo, if nobody else is claiming it. My fella claims it for my daughter, and our 2 children, and of course you have to be living together.
Put a claim in right now.

If you are living as a couple and your child%26#039;s father is not claiming the same working tax credit then yes. But I am a bit confused as Working tax credit is paid wether you have a child or not but Child tax credit is paid as well if you do have children so you should be able to claim for both as long as your child%26#039;s natural father is not also claiming. Check with Inland revenue child tax credit site.
