The Democrats say they will not renew Bush's tax cuts. Are you ready to pay more taxes soon?

I earn $50,000 per year. I have a wife and four children. Bush%26#039;s tax cuts saved me $1600 each year in the additional Child Tax Credit, or $12,800 in 8 years.

We are definately NOT the rich. We are barely middle class. Thank you George Bush for helping THIS working family.

PLEASE, Democrats, don%26#039;t raise taxes on my family again!

The Democrats say they will not renew Bush%26#039;s tax cuts. Are you ready to pay more taxes soon?

I%26#039;m not rich, either. As a single mom, I rely on those tax cuts. It%26#039;s what keeps me from going further into debt every year to pay taxes.

I guess they want us on welfare.

The Democrats say they will not renew Bush%26#039;s tax cuts. Are you ready to pay more taxes soon?

I%26#039;d rather live in the woods. Report It

The Democrats say they will not renew Bush%26#039;s tax cuts. Are you ready to pay more taxes soon?

The Democrats will rape the wallet of every American as soon as they get the chance...

GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE...

The Democrats say they will not renew Bush%26#039;s tax cuts. Are you ready to pay more taxes soon?

They already have the largest tax increase in history in motion. Get ready.

The Democrats say they will not renew Bush%26#039;s tax cuts. Are you ready to pay more taxes soon?

Just for this I think you SHOULD pay more. And so should every one else for that matter. I am absolutely in favor of eliminating Bush%26#039;s tax cuts. Maybe then we won%26#039;t be borrowing huge sums of money from the Chinese and making future generations pay for it. What kind of moron are you? What is wrong with fair and just taxation? Infrastructure like bridges, airports, rail transport, schools and much much more are going to further deteriorate if we don%26#039;t.

The Democrats say they will not renew Bush%26#039;s tax cuts. Are you ready to pay more taxes soon?

We need to make tax cuts permanent.Ronald Reagan lowered taxes, and there was a growth in the economy and tax revenue. Raising taxes on the rich only cuts down the amount they spend, and keeps the middle class and poor from benefiting. I%26#039;m with you. Don%26#039;t raise our taxes. Truth seeker, Everyone loses from tax increases. I%26#039;m sorry but Reagan was right. His trickle down theory worked then, and it%26#039;s working now.

The Democrats say they will not renew Bush%26#039;s tax cuts. Are you ready to pay more taxes soon?

Gotta watch those rich liberals who want to raise minimum wage and raise their own taxes to fund health care and education. The tax hikes are for the rich, a little loop hole closing if you like.

The Democrats say they will not renew Bush%26#039;s tax cuts. Are you ready to pay more taxes soon?

no! but if they manage to fully take power, you and I will, regardless of the fact that tax revenue is up, even after the tax cuts. a lesson proved many times over, but one the left will never admit to.

The Democrats say they will not renew Bush%26#039;s tax cuts. Are you ready to pay more taxes soon?

Ok, I am going to explain to you that this is much more then skin deep.

Everyone loves tax cuts. Who doesn%26#039;t? However, we have a huge budget and deficit right now that we didn%26#039;t have back when he introduced them. So, here is what would happen if we kept spending on things like Iraq and ballistic missile defense, and kept cutting taxes....

The money has to come from somewhere. If not from taxes, it would be borrowed. How does the government borrow? By issuing bonds. However, our dollar is crumbling. Foreign and domestic investors want to get paid. So, the government is printing more money. Now, to sell the bonds, they will have to pay a higher yield to adjust for inflation. Get me? The higher yield being paid means more debt. The dollar keeps crumbling, and there is more inflation.

Regular goods start rising in prices like the inflation of the 70%26#039;s. In the end, your money ends up being worth much less. Your employer has to pay more if you are to survive, and eventually cant afford it and starts laying people off. Kind of like what is starting to happen now.

Economics, my dear Watson.

The Democrats say they will not renew Bush%26#039;s tax cuts. Are you ready to pay more taxes soon?

well someone has to pay for Bush%26#039;s spending habits. liberals told you those tax breaks were just loans to buy your vote, and now you are getting what you voted for.( Bush cashing a blank check with your signature on it, and the ability to hate democrats for collecting the funds)

but in reality, it probably won%26#039;t even bother a person in your tax bracket since democrats are all for child tax credits, that most neocons view as socialism.

reagan%26#039;s so called boost in the economy came at the expense of American jobs with deregulation of trade with china...a communist nation which American companies couldn%26#039;t possibly compete with even if everyone working for them made half the minimum wage.

Doesn%26#039;t anyone remember what happened to the savings and loans during the Reagan years?

The Democrats say they will not renew Bush%26#039;s tax cuts. Are you ready to pay more taxes soon?

No.

The effect on the markets will be very negative and there will be a huge sell-off of stock before the current capital gains tax rate expires at the end of next year. The Dems are totally clueless about tax policy. They think arithmetically in a world that demands so much more. They are so short-sighted and never seem to understand that cuttting taxes can (and does) raise tax revenues.

The markets will tank if the Dems win. It would be a loss for the private sector and a loss for America.

The Democrats say they will not renew Bush%26#039;s tax cuts. Are you ready to pay more taxes soon?

Dear Brett: I%26#039;m sorry if the additional tax burden is hard on you. But if you are really interested in the long-term security of your children, you have to understand that we cannot keep spending our nation into debt. You have a family of six: that means that as of today, your family%26#039;s portion of the national debt runs about $174,000. That number is going up every second.

Today, there is no plan to solve the debt. We are spending money today and putting that debt on the back of your four kids, my three kids, and all the kids in America.

Here is a test. Would you borrow $200,000 today, knowing that you had no way of ever paying it off and that your kids would inherit that debt when you die?

Or would you rather pay off that debt yourself, and leave your kids clear and debt-free when you die?

If you chose the latter, then you should support repealing the tax breaks. Yes, it will cost you more now. But I think our generation has the mandate to pay for the things we use today. Loading the cost of today%26#039;s prosperity onto the shoulders of our children is just plain wrong.

The Democrats say they will not renew Bush%26#039;s tax cuts. Are you ready to pay more taxes soon?

Please raise the taxes son the rich........somebody has to pay for this bullshit war!!

I am certain my taxes with not go up being in the middle class and having Democrats in charge!!

Your kids will be paying for the top 1%%26#039;s undeserved tax breaks for he rest of their lives.........%26quot;Thank you George Bush for helping THIS working family be in debt forever!!!!. Get a clue!!

Does this sound familiar?

THE SIMPLIFIED EXPLANATION OF THE TAX STRUCTURE

Bar Stool Economics

Suppose that every day, ten men go out for a couple of beers and the bill for all ten comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes according to our current tax structure, it

would go something like this:

The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing.

The fifth would pay $1.

The sixth would pay $3.

The seventh would pay $7.

The eighth would pay $12.

The ninth would pay $18.

The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.

So, that%26#039;s what they decided to do.

The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the

arrangement, until on day, the owner threw them a curve. %26quot;Since you are

all such good customers,%26quot; he said, %26quot;I%26#039;m going to reduce the cost of

your daily bar bill by $20.%26quot;Drinks for the ten now cost just $80.

The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes so

the first four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free.

But what about the other six men - the paying customers? How could they

divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his %26#039;fair share?%26#039;

They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted

that from everybody%26#039;s share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would

each end up being paid to drink his beer. So, the bar owner suggested

that it would be fair to reduce each man%26#039;s bill by roughly the same

percentage of total of what he had been paying, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay.

And so:

The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% savings).

The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33%savings).

The seventh now pay $5 instead of $7 (28%savings).

The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings).

The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings).

The tenth now paid $49 in stead of $59 (16% savings).

Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four

continued to drink for free. But once outside the restaurant, the men

began to compare their savings.

%26quot;I only got a dollar out of the $20,%26quot;declared the sixth man. He pointed

to the tenth man,%26quot; but he got $10!%26quot;

%26quot;Yeah, that%26#039;s right,%26quot; exclaimed the fifth man. %26quot;I only saved a dollar,

too. It%26#039;s unfair that he got ten times more than I!%26quot;

%26quot;That%26#039;s true!!%26quot; shouted the seventh man. %26quot;Why should he get $10 back

when I got only two%26quot;

%26quot;The rich get all the breaks!%26quot;

%26quot;Wait a minute,%26quot; yelled the first four men in unison. %26quot;We didn%26#039;t get

anything at all. The system exploits the poor!%26quot;

The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.

The next night the tenth man didn%26#039;t show up for drinks, so the nine sat

down and had beers without him.

But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something

important. They didn%26#039;t have enough money among them all for even

half of the bill!

And that, boys and girls, journalists and college professors, is how

our tax system works. The people who pay the highest taxes get the most

benefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being

wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore. In fact, they might

start drinking overseas where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier, or

not reinvest in the community.

it doesn%26#039;t matter. IT DOES NOT MATTER.

The Democrats say they will not renew Bush%26#039;s tax cuts. Are you ready to pay more taxes soon?

Sorry, Charlie:

But Bush has ALREADY raised taxes on you. (And the working poor.)

$12,800 in 8 years? You call THAT saving any real money? lol

My god man...! You got bought: Hook, line, and sinker!

How does it feel to be a sucker for Bush%26#039;s sweet talk?

The Democrats say they will not renew Bush%26#039;s tax cuts. Are you ready to pay more taxes soon?

You mean the taxes on the RICH? I am all for it!

Also, I would rather pay for higher taxes verses hidden taxes on gas, so the gas companies can make record profits from their cr*p. I would rather get something FOR the taxes and not just so someone else could get rich off of the backs of people who are not much more than slaves to the establishments.

The Democrats say they will not renew Bush%26#039;s tax cuts. Are you ready to pay more taxes soon?

anything the Dems do on taxes won%26#039;t affect someone in your income bracket.
