What would happen if I claimed child maintenance for my child, would it be deducted from my incap. At the moment I get child tax credits, child benefit and my incap till I%26#039;m well enough to return to work?

you only get the first 鎷?0 a week of it the rest goes to the goverment to cover your benefits.

I get the lot as I work. 鎷?00 per month

talk to someone at the citizen%26#039;s advice bureau, the are free impartial and will do what they can to help

I%26#039;m surprised that the benefits agency has not already been in contact with you regarding maintenance. I%26#039;m sure it%26#039;s part of their policy to collect your details for the CSA, whenever you start a new claim for benefits.

You%26#039;ll probably find that there is an amount they will let you keep, over and above whatever benefit you are receiving. The rest goes to help pay your benefits.
