Hi, Its a huge mindfield but I think I understand that I can claim child tax credit and a working tax credit can you also claim part of your childcare costs or do you only get one or the other. please help me i am sooo confused

Your best bet is to ring them, and they can give you a trial application over the phone and tell you what you would be entitled to.

if u go into a job center or CAB they can help u to fill out all the forms etc

go to ur local job centre they have phones in there where u press a button and u go direct to working tax credit they will help u over the phone and tell u what u r entitled too and how much roughly, make sure u have all ur details ie how much u and ur partner have earnt for the yr (i think its april 06-apr 07 u have to give details off) even if u were claiming benefits for some or all of the time they need to know, try and be as acurate as u can cos if u give an estimate and u dont give them a def amount by a certain date they will take ur estimate as a def amount of income and u could lose money or owe them money.

You need to speak to the Tax Credits people, they will be able to take your personal circumstances into account and tell you what you are entitled to. There will be some form-filling if it looks like you are eligible, but they can give you a pretty good idea when you call.

go to the tax credit website, you can do it online, or phone the helpline number. if you tell them how much you earn and how much your child care is going to cost they will tell you how much approximately you%26#039;ll get. you need to use a registered child minder.
