With the stimulus plan rebate who will get the $300 for my child?

I was allowed to claim my daughter on my taxes as a dependent but my ex gets to get the child tax credit for her. Who will receive the money for her?

The person claiming the dependency will get the rebate.

In order for your ex to claim the child tax credit for her, she needed to live with him for more than half of 2007 unless that is just something you allowed him to claim.

Uh, not possible - the child tax credit goes with the exemption. The custodial parent can claim the child CARE credit though even if the other parent gets the exemption for that year.

Anyway, the parent claiming the exemption for 2007 is the one who will get the $300 for the child, if the child is under 17.
