i work 8 hours a week my partner works 39 hours a week we have a 4 year old. we get 63 pounds a week of working tax and child tax thats the total for both not each by the way.

i know someone who is a single parent with 2 children (well actually she%26#039;s living with her new boyfriend) she works 39 hours per week gets 198 pounds from work then receives about 350.00 a week in child and working tax credits and she gets help with rent and council tax.

it seems that you get nothing for being a couple but if you go out and have unprotected sex with tom dick and harry you get everything, i think this probably encourages people to do this.

IS THIS FAIR AND SHOULD THIS BE ALOUD?

i think the whole system stinks as if i packed my job in i%26#039;d be better off but wont be another stastic and have my pride. its all so wrong

I know for a fact that is untrue. If you have seen evidence of this then she is on the fiddle. She should probably receive around 鎷?0 in CTC and about the same in WTC at most, and have a slight rebate on her rent and Council Tax also getting a discount as the only adult in the property if she is not admitting to living with her boyfriend. A single person with two children should receive nowhere near this amount even if they are on the minimum wage.
