I%26#039;ll try my best to give any info that can help you help ME figure out if I can get a check %26amp; fill out these forms. If you need more info, let me know %26amp; I%26#039;ll add the details.
I%26#039;m 25 / a single mom of 2 kids. The only income I got in %26#039;07 was SSI %26amp; Social Security Disability (the disability check was $190/month, SSI - ??)
I%26#039;ve got a 1040A form but I can%26#039;t figure out how to fill it out %26amp; if I need any other forms. I don%26#039;t know what to fill out for line 14b (taxable amount for social security), line 30 (credit for the disabled - Schedule 3), line 32 (child tax credit), %26amp; line 40a Schedule EIC?. Also do I need form 8901? Could my parents have filed my kids since they financially provide for them, %26amp; if so is it to late to do that? I have never filed taxes, should I be able to since I get SSI %26amp; disability?
I receive approximately $650 a month and I%26#039;ve got 2 kids, and somehow the gov%26#039;t thinks that this is enough to provide a life. They claim this is maximum me %26amp; my kids can get.
I%26#039;m on Disability/SII - can I get a tax refund check? Please help.?
SSI does not qualify as income for the rebate. only your disability would cound towards the rebate and if you got 190 a month for SSD you come up short of the 3000 needed. Sorry
I%26#039;m on Disability/SII - can I get a tax refund check? Please help.?
It really depends on the state you live in. If your state has state tax they usually offer a sales tax credit refund for low income families. Your income was not sufficient to be required to file a federal income tax form. You can only get tax breaks and the earned income credit on earned income. Your disability and ssi are not taxable. If your income was not earned income, you can not file on your children. Usually, if your state offers a sales tax refund, you would have already receieved a check from the Department of Human Services. I think the bright spot in all of this is the fact that the additional rebates that are coming out in May or June are definitely coming. You will not qualify for the $600 but you do qualify for $300 being on social security. Hope this helps!
