What about the families who pay in but get more back due to eic and child tax credits?
I was wondering what is the definition of a %26quot;non-tax paying family%26quot;?
i read that a non tax paying family is one that makes at least 3000 but has no tax liability. the families who make more than that and have $300 tax liability will get $600. families who pay taxes but get all of it back will only qualify for $300 single taxpayer, $600 married, and $300 per child. i made 39000 this year, married filed jointly, have 3 kids. so i ended up getting a nice refund. from what i understand this means i will get back $600 (husband and myself) and $900 (3 kids) totalling $1500.
